Keyworth Parish Council

Serving the village of Keyworth

Clerk: Neil Grocock, Village Hall, Elm Avenue, Keyworth, Nottingham,NG12 5AN.

0115 937 2185

Cllr Brian Watts

Note: Brian has been co-opted to the Parish Council with effect from 28.11.11.

My name is Brian Watts. I was born on Carlton Road, in Nottingham. I was a keen cyclist for many years, being a member of the Clarion Cycling Club. I have been married to Sue for 46 years; we have two sons, now both left home. As a family, we camped and then had a touring caravan for many years, travelling all over Europe. We had to change our holiday style after I lost my legs last year.

Sue and myself have lived in Keyworth for 44 years, where our two sons were born and raised. I had a period as a shop steward, and then a senior shop steward representing 150+ skilled engineers. For my last 15 years or so at work, I was employed as a manager looking after the Fire Service department of a national fire alarm company in the Midlands.

I have just been co-opted onto Keyworth Parish Council where I hope that I may make a contribution to the village where I have chosen to live for 44 years. I do believe that Councillors are in place to represent the inhabitants of the village and not promote their own views.

My hobbies are reading, photography and travel.
