KEYWORTH LIBERAL DEMOCRATS

The Liberal Democrats are a party that is independent of any vested interests and that represents the aims, aspirations and values of ordinary people. We believe in social justice, open government and the freedom of the individual. We strongly support the concepts of freedom, fairness and trust. Constitutional and electoral reform is also high on our list of cherished aims.

Keyworth Liberal Democrats, part of the Rushcliffe Local Party, provide three of the Borough councillors representing our community. We are also active (though on a non-party political basis) in the Parish Council, and we contribute to national politics through democratic policy-making and in standing as candidates in General Elections. We are supported by Bill Newton-Dunn, the Liberal Democrat MEP representing the East Midlands in the European Parliament.

Service to the community is top of our priorities, and we frequently take a prominent role in campaigning on local issues. Whilst being very active politically, the party also offers opportunities for members to meet socially, to organise a variety of events, and to take part in the whole spectrum of activities, ranging from leaflet delivery right up to national campaigning.
