Cllr Shelley Millband

I moved to Keyworth fourteen years ago from my home town of Grimsby, where I had a full life as a School Governor, GMB Branch Secretary and fundraiser for Childline. I am currently a full time childminder and I have five children of my own. I am married to Nigel who is Keyworth born and bred. I love living in the village of Keyworth and find the people in the community so friendly, kind and caring.

My youngest child attends Keyworth Primary School, where I am a member of the Friends of Keyworth Primary School. I am the Chairman of the Keyworth Community Park Project which, with a dedicated Committee and the help of the community, have successfully raised funds to improve Nottingham Road Play Area. I am the Chairperson for a new and exciting project called Fun On The Field which is working with community groups and Parish Councillors in the village to put on an annual fun day on the Rectory Field in the summer. I am also on the Keyworth Show Committee.

My passion is for the community, the people within it and how I can help to improve all aspects of it
